Our curriculum centers on the “western” cowboy theme of horses.

Campers, over 5 days, experience the following:

Horse riding – every day.

Basic Riding instruction

Basic Tack instruction

Horse grooming

Hoof care/trimming

Horse training-each camper will have the basic skills needed to interact safely with a horse in a round pen by the close of the 5 days.

Barn/stall maintenance

Farm/pasture maintenance

Tractor operation

Those campers selected will enjoy a day ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the Saturday following their 5 day camp.

Registration DOES NOT assume eligibility for camp. Each camper, along with their parent(s)/guardian must interview with our staff. At the time of the interview, and upon payment of the    $ 400.00 camp fee, then eligibility is provided to the camper.

Camp runs each day from 9 am to 3 pm.

Lunch is served each day. (included in camp fee)

Campers must wear long pants and closed toe footwear each day.

Parents not picking up campers promptly at 3 pm must pay          $ 30.00 an hour fee for each hour the camper remains on the property awaiting pick up. First hour fee due at 3:10 pm.

Saturday trail ride is at the sole discretion of the camp staff. It is not part of the camp fee. It is provided for those campers who demonstrate extraordinary interest and ability in horses. There is no fee for the day ride. (a value of $ 100.00)
